Parkside Medical Centre are looking to expand it's busy, yet friendly, reception team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, flexible receptionist with excellent customer service skills and good IT knowledge. Previous Medical reception experience is essential.

This role is for 30 hours per week to work but with the flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness when required.

Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone

Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way

Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice, including the provision of photocopying, managing tasks within clinical system and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team

Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies

Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointments system.

Processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations, and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional.

**Job Summary**

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments, processing of information and assisting patients as required. To act as the central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.

Parkside Medical Centre is a busy town centre practice with 18000+ patients. The practice team consists of GP Partners, Salaried GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Nurses and Health Care Support Worker's along with a large support team.

The practice is a forward thinking innovative training practice using System 1 clinical system.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour
