**What you’ll be doing**:
As a Technical Author, you will:

- Be the focal point for LK Metrology for the creation and maintenance of all documentation and manuals for the current range of LK Metrology products, for example: CMM data and sales sheets, user manuals, safety guides, service manuals, and technical bulletins
- Creation and maintenance of help files for Camio Software
- Provide language localised documentation as agreed in specific projects
- Maintenance of Bills of Material
- Create and maintain CE certificates and machine specifications
- Manage the user access of engineering support documents

**Location**:
Our product is large and heavy and cannot be taken home, so most of our product facing roles require you to be on site 5 days per week. For employees who are based in the office who are not product facing, we offer them the opportunity to work from home on Fridays.

- Knowledge of technical writing/creating technical documentation within an engineering/manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of the maintenance of a documentation system
- Strong understanding of technology and software products
- IT literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail

The following would also be an advantage:

- Understanding of international legislation on required product documentation
- Ability to use documentation tools including MadCap Flare, Catalyst, Microsoft SharePoint and help servers
- An engineering degree
