**Job Description**:
**Volunteer and Event Coordinator (can work 3 or 4 days per week)** required by a leading international membership body based in the City of London.

**This is a permanent part time role working 3 or 4 days per week (21 or 28 hours per week) - salary circa £32-33k pro rata plus excellent benefits** - this will be a HYBRID working role (both office and home based working). Offices are located in the City of London (within easy reach of 4-5 main railway and London Underground stations). Interviews will be taking place in mid to late February 2023.
The post holder provides planning advice and support to help individuals and communities engage with the planning system and get involved in planning their local area. The organisation work closely with volunteers, all of whom are members of the organisation, and is to deliver a range of services that support more effective engagement with the planning process.
This is small, friendly team and you will support day-to-day service delivery and be responsible of a range of operational and communication activities that support successful volunteer involvement in the services. You will work closely with colleagues to increase awareness of services amongst particular audiences (e.g. local planning authorities), with a view to growing opportunities for volunteers to assist communities in more economically disadvantaged areas engage with planning activities in their local area.
You will be well organised with good communication skills and will have experience in project or programme administration including organising meetings, coordinating events and other activities, building relationships with stakeholders, and supporting marketing and comms activities. Any skills or previous experience in working with volunteers or for a small charitable or not-for-profit organisation would be advantageous. You will be comfortable working both collaboratively and independently, with the ability to manage your workload effectively.
