Help us make the BFI London Film Festival shine as a volunteers coordinator.

We are looking for a Volunteers Coordinator to join our Festivals team for the 68th BFI London Film Festival to support on all aspects of administration and organisation of volunteer resource at the festival.

BFI London Film Festival (LFF) runs an Industry & Professional Programme of screenings, events, networking and an informal marketplace for around 3,500 film industry professionals alongside the main public festival.

Key responsibilities

Assess volunteer applications, shortlisting and interview new volunteers where necessary. Liaise with festival departments to understand their needs and to provide details of volunteers assigned to their events. Help raise staff awareness of the role and the function of volunteers. Ensure there is appropriate support and training for volunteers. Support on the process of organising volunteer rotas and update in timely manner. Knowledge, skills and experienceDemonstrable and significant previous administrative experience gained within a cultural organisation in a similar role. Demonstrable organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and to manage and meet deadlines. Demonstrable skill and experience in information and data management. The ability to build effective relationships with key contacts across BFI and stakeholder organisations, and to communicate effectively and tactfully with stakeholders at all levels. Computer literacy and confidence in working with Microsoft Office - particularly Excel.
