Complex Carers wanted for a Complex package in Wembley, London.

Care First 24 are currently seeking complex carer staff who can access Wembley, Middlesex area on a new package of care. We are offering market leading pay rates and are looking to build a supportive care team to work with this adult service user who requires complex care. You will be supported by our inhouse Adult Nurse Clinical Lead as well as experienced Adult Care Coordinator in delivering a solid care experience for the adult service user requiring complex care and families involved.

Care First 24 are a complex care provider for both physical and mental health needs across the UK and support those with PHB’s, CHC funded, case management as well as private clients. We work with all age and all types of care, and we understand that healthcare can bring with it a lot of emotions, and many of our clients are going through some of the most trying times of their lives. We provide kind, compassionate, and patient support that ensure the client feels comfortable and safe in our care. We will provide tailored care and support. In high-pressure situations, we strive to be a calming force that can make a positive difference.

We have a new package of care available for an adult service user who requires complex care in Wembley, Middlesex. Patient is a 22-year-old female who attends university to study Chemistry.

Shifts:
1 to 1 - Monday to Sunday - Complex Carer

Weekdays - 07:00 - 20:00

Weekend Days - 07:00 - 19:00

Weekday Nights - 20:00 -07:00

Weekend Nights - 19:00 - 07:00

Brief outline on condition:
Merosin deficient congenital muscular dystrophy

Complex spinal deformity with scoliosis and left lateral flexion of neck

Intestinal failure and has recently diagnosed with type 1, 2 diabetes mellitus

She has a Percutaneous endoscopic jejunostomy (PEJ) for feeding and a Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) for administration of some medication.

She has a history of recurrent pancreatitis and recurrent chest infections

She has severe physical disabilities and has no gross motor mobility.

Due to restrictive lung disease she has night time non - invasive ventilation overnight - BiPAP PMH: Recurrent chest infections in Nov 2022 discharged with antibiotics.

Extended hospital admission in 2021 for breathing difficulties due to Covid, for recurrent pancreatitis, feeding difficulties and weight loss.

Cholecystectomy

Back and abdominal pain.

Patient has capacity to consent to her care and treatment, to make decisions about her health and social care needs.

Care requirements:
Personal care

Moving and Handling

Nocturnal BiPap and Humidification - Non-invasive ventilator

Oral suctioning - Yanker (When unwell)

Cough assist (When unwell)

Daily administration of medication including nebulisers

PEG feeding

Blood Monitoring for Diabetes

Care First 24 are looking for carers to attend a meet & greet and shadow this package of care ASAP.

We have a stringent but fast registration process and our inhouse Training Team can provide additional training for the specifics of this adult service user who requires complex care as long as you have relevant complex care experience.
