Role Overview

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled CAMHS Psychotherapist to join their team as a Therapeutic Specialist for Parent-Infant Relationships. This position plays a crucial role in developing and delivering an innovative service aimed at supporting infants and their mothers/carers with mental health difficulties.

Main Responsibilities
  • To provide specialist psychotherapy assessments and treatments to promote high-quality parent-infant relationships, leveraging evidence-based approaches tailored to individual needs.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop interventions addressing complex mental health and social challenges faced by parents and their children.
  • Offer consultation, teaching, and training on parenting and attachment techniques to healthcare professionals, adapting strategies to meet diverse client needs.
  • Prioritize audit and research activities to enhance the service's impact and effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate outcome monitoring records, utilizing standardized measures when applicable.
  • Navigate clinical practice guidelines, engaging with supervision and adhering to CAMHS Directorate policies and procedures.
Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of child development and family dynamics, and experience working with vulnerable populations. Proficiency in using various therapeutic approaches and strong collaboration skills are essential for success in this role.

Estimated Salary
