**Job summary**:
The principal tasks are as follows:

- Supporting the annual refresh of the Submarine Acquisition Support Plan (SASP) and facilitating the SASP milestone in-year change process.
- Supporting the programme risk management reporting.
- Supporting the costed planning assumptions (3OA's) change processes.
- Administrative user for MI reporting system.
- Maintaining and updating Share Points.
- Supporting project delivery best practice and guidance.

The role is based at MoD Main Building, London, with occasional travel to other locations within the UK.

This position is advertised at 36/37 hours per week Tacos Dependant.

**Job description**:
Portfolio Team key responsibilities include:
Supporting PFO2 (Senior Executive Officer) in programme risk management reporting and coordination activities within the Defence Nuclear Enterprise. Ensuring consistent reporting through best practice guidance and policy.

Facilitating the costed planning assumptions (3OAs) change procedures and supporting PFO2 in assumption management reporting.

Supporting the annual refresh of the Submarine Acquisition Support Plan (SASP) by working closely with PFO2, Navy Command and the Submarine Delivery Agency counterparts.

Facilitating the SASP milestone in-year change process.

Administrative responsibilities for the Management Information (MI) reporting system.

Assisting Portfolio Office colleagues in maintaining and updating Share Points with key guidance and best practice.

Supporting PFO2 and colleagues in generating programme key artefacts through best practice guidance and training.

**Person specification**:
To work efficiently in this team, you should be comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders, willing to question and challenge, capable of working with complex and diverse issues and able to quickly interpret/analyse information for robust conclusions and recommendations.

Experience of the Nuclear portfolio in Defence is not required. This role provides an opportunity to become knowledgeable in the breadth of the Submarine Capability Directorate portfolio and the interrelation between the various projects across the nuclear enterprise.

DNO highly values diversity to bring different perspectives to the complex challenges we work on. This post is based in London and will attract the London weighting.

Due to the classification of the work, you should expect to work in the London offices at least two days per week. However, there are options to discuss alternative and flexible working patterns, including partial working from home.

The job is a developing area of project delivery. We want people that enjoy the challenge of changing work priorities, as responsibilities become better defined over time. A personal dedication to innovation to make a tangible difference will help evolve this work.

Experience of planning at portfolio, programme or project level and project management qualifications such as PRINCE2 and APM (Association of Project Management) are desirable.

Work efficiently with delivery agents, industry, and technical partners to support delivery of complex engineering projects by challenging assumptions and processes to drive performance, delivery, and value for money.

Work alongside military colleagues to drive complex, multi-stakeholder programmes to ensure delivery.
