This is an exciting opportunity for someone to further develop their administration skills and gain experience working within a transport and warehouse environment. Due to a rural site location your own vehichle will be required.

**About The Role**

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Health and Safety**

Ensure compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy, safety rules and local procedures such that all Cold Store and Dry store activity is carried out in a manner that ensures protection of the workforce, third parties and legislative compliance

**Working Relationships**

Responsible for ensuring excellent working relationships with Customer representatives and at all times being aware of their business needs and objectives.

Liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure a timely intake and dispatch of stock whilst building and maintaining close relationships with internal departments

**Distribution**

Planning of efficient and cost-effective delivery routes and regularly updating as necessary.

Ensuring transport costs are correctly assigned to transport invoices, including any relevant fuel surcharges are added with the most current version of that charge.

Raising purchase orders when required and uplifting sales orders as required to ensure successful outloads of stock to customers.

Checking that all sales orders raised by the commercial team are visible and are planned in for out loading.

Ensuring goods are correctly receipted to the site when they arrive.

Ensuring all goods that are dispatched are done so correctly in line with business requirements from our ERP system and all relevant paperwork is completed.

Plan Ad Hoc deliveries / stock transfers / collections as necessary.

Training will be provided for counterbalance and MHE use in line with all of the logistics team - although it is not expected to be used unless there are no other team members or resource available.

**Stock Control**

Assisting with stock checks and looking at stocks to ensure availability of material (as required)

Ensure stock rotation is being carried out in conjunction with the management team.

**Reporting**

To deputise for the Logistics Supervisor in periods of absence and holidays. This will involve working the contractual hours of the Logistics Supervisor role for a set period. Any additional hours will be paid at the hourly rate specified within the contract of employment.

To deputise for the Senior Logistics Manager in periods of absence or holidays. This may involve working the contractual hours of the Senior Logistics Manger role for a set period. Any additional hours will be paid at the hourly rate specified within the contract of employment.

There may be occasion due to business demands/peak requirements that the normal hours are required to be extended on an ad-hoc basis by exception.
