**What you will be doing**

As a Procurement Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting SPA's mission to be recognised as a centre of excellence for procurement in Scotland. You will:

- Engage in hybrid work arrangements, with flexible remote and in-office schedules.
- Collaborate with over 100 partner organisations, offering procurement advice and support.
- Ensure compliance with public sector procurement laws, offering guidance to partners and appointed firms.
- Manage projects efficiently from inception to contract award, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Represent SPA at various events, contributing to our strong community presence.

**What you need**

The following experience and attributes are **desirable**:

- A good understanding or awareness of Public Sector Procurement including the practices, rules and regulation.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations in Scotland.
- Experience of undertaking regulated procurement of goods and/or services on behalf of a public sector organisation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft BI and/or SAGE CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems.

**Qualifications & Training**
- Degree or vocational qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Working towards CIPS Level 2 or above.
