**The Opportunity**
The role will require you to manage a caseload of children and families who require your support. You will build effective relationships with those you support ensuring clear communication and respect. The role will require you to represent the Youth Justice Service within a court setting on occasions.

As a Youth Justice Officer, you will complete assessment for the children and families you support and deliver and review intervention plans. You will also prepare good quality written reports and be able to understand complex reports from partnership agencies.

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will need:

- Interpersonal and communication skills allowing you to persuade others to take a particular course of action and build relationships with various stakeholders and multi-agency colleagues.
- Good IT and literacy skills enabling you to write reports to a high standard.
- Research, assessment, and analysis skills to interpret data and formulate plans to support the young people in your care and manage your cases accordingly.
- Good organisational skills to enable you to prioritise your workload.
- Relevant qualification recognised by one of the Youth Justice Service Statutory Partner Agencies.
