This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
**Job description**:
An Assurance Technical Support Officer, in the Strategic Services Team, is the key person in a multidisciplinary team, who ensures that support is provided to the change management process; and system modifications and process changes are appropriately controlled and assured.
The complexity or breadth of products, services or teams will vary in this role, depending on the context. The service delivery environment can also involve working with colleagues across defence, along with partners and suppliers.
At this level, you will:
- Provide an escalation point for technical changes
- Identify and articulate system vulnerabilities
- Identify opportunities for improvements in security, coherence and efficiency of the system of systems
- Facilitate tests and trails of potential system modifications and process changes
- Work across organisational boundaries to implement improvements to systems and processes
- Work collaboratively across Defence in support of optimised service delivery
- Support the system change management and assurance processes

Due to the nature of the role and the IT systems you will be required to use on a regular basis this role is not suitable for hybrid working. There will be a requirement for attendance in office approx. 4 days a week.
