**Job description**:
Crypto Services for Defence (CSD) is a dynamic, fast paced, cyber-focused environment, vastly advancing and developing to meet with emerging technologies, to provide security of MOD data.

This role is for the Team Leader position within the Physical Distribution section of CSD, based in MOD Corsham and is responsible for the oversight and management of a distribution team who account, despatch and manage cryptographic material and assets across the Defence cryptographic community.

A Market Skills allowance of up to £3k per annum is applicable to this role and is paid in increments, upon reaching agreed criteria.

**Person specification**:
Responsibilities may include:

- Fulfil responsibility as the Cryptographic custodian for Crypto Services for Defence in accordance with policy (JSP 490).
- Responsible for supporting Defence Cryptographic needs from a physical distribution perspective.
- Liaise with Internal Defence stakeholders on cryptographic needs. Support Front Line Commands with operational cryptographic demand.
- Liaise with External stakeholders on cryptographic needs. Support the Facility Security Clearance community and industry partners with operational cryptographic demand.
- Maintain processes for despatching adequate stock, crypto authorisations and the upkeep of the Crypto Custodian course.
- Direct line management of a small team, currently the 2 alternate custodians who have line management of 7 Crown servants.
- Conduct oversight of European Distribution Accounting (EUDAC) operations and the Dacan Electronic Key Management system (DEKMS).
- Manage and maintain workflows for NATO and US couriers.
- Manage stock levels in line with policy and protocol. Ensure all cryptographic governance is adhered to by conducting the necessary annual stock checks and audits.
- Support CSD introducing any new capabilities and ensure adequate training across the team in managing new incentives into the business.
- Review and amend CSD Crypto standing orders, Fire Orders, Emergency evacuation plan and Business Continuity plan, as and when required.
