We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our HR team, via an apprenticeship. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience and develop a strong foundation in various HR functions. **Full Description**:
The HR Apprentice is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Human Resources function. The HR Apprentice and HR Advisors are expected to support and help each other, and to cover each other’s absence.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist and support the Human Resources team with general administration tasks.
- Manage all HR filing and archiving.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee e-files on Deskside and regularly update the HR Guidebook.
- Log and process all invoices and credit card purchases on behalf of the team.
- Prepare general standard correspondence for members of the team, e.g. letters, references.
- Ownership of the weekly movement sheet reporting, chair weekly meetings with the HR team to discuss/finalise any changes and circulate to other support teams.
- Maintain all key spreadsheets for the team, including department structure charts, maternity and secondment spreadsheets.
- Prepare induction packs and orientation schedules for new joiners.
- “Super-user” of the HR system (Workday), including new joiners, leavers, and changes. Run reports from Workday both for the team and other departments when necessary. Act as primary contact within the team for any queries or problems. Liaise with HR Systems in relation to any issues.
- Administration of key dates (5 years’ service etc.), wedding gifts, ordering flowers, eye tests etc.
- Support the leaver process, ensuring all exit interview forms are sent out and returned.
- Assist with all absence monitoring and administration - e.g. weekly sickness reports.
- Provide cover in the absence of the HR Advisor and, where required, Early Careers Recruitment Advisor/Assistant and Recruitment Advisor.
- Continually review existing HR processes and procedures, suggesting any efficiencies or improvements as noticed.
- Maintain HR portal and HR Guidebook.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects or duties as required.

**Training Provided**:
The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, pre-recorded lectures, and face to face inductions and masterclasses.

**Skills Required**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels.
- Excellent grammar and spelling.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook and Excel).

**Personal Qualities**:

- Previous administrative experience within an office environment (previous HR experience not essential).
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Willing and enthusiastic with a flexible approach
- Ability to take on new tasks.
- Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to juggle a number of deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and proactive attitude.

**Qualifications Required**:

- 5 GCSEs A*-C or 9-4 including Maths and English or equivalent.
- Possess the right to work in the UK and have lived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years.
