About Us

Sported is a leading charity supporting the UK's largest network of sport and physical activity groups and we exist to provide the skills, resources and funding needed for them to become sustainable and deliver services to the young people and communities they serve.

It has never been a harder time to be a young person growing up in the UK. Poverty, crime and mental health issues coupled with youth unemployment and COVID-19, have compounded already disadvantaged communities and individuals and widened inequalities.

We support the thousands of community sports groups that seek to remove barriers from young people’s lives to allow them to thrive against the odds.

We’re now looking for a Regional Delivery Officer to join our team in the North East of England on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

The Benefits
- Salary of £26,500 - £28,000 per annum (pro rata)
- 25 days’ holiday in addition to statutory bank holidays
- Two additional days of personal leave per year for religious holidays and/or wellbeing days
- Volunteer Days - two additional days of paid leave each year to volunteer for another charity or our members
- Up to five days of paid study leave for self-funded education/training
- Flexible working arrangements
- A confidential counselling service
- Access to a pension scheme to give you peace of mind
- Virtual Diversity & Inclusion ‘Open Space’ every month
- Cycle to Work Scheme to support their commitment to promoting healthy living

This is an incredible opportunity for a programme manager with superb administration skills to join our team and make a real difference.

You’ll have the chance to shape a variety of projects and programmes, playing a vital role in delivering our impactful work in the North East.

What’s more, you’ll get to grow and develop your skill set within a small but dynamic team who strive to transform young lives.

The Role

As a Regional Delivery Officer, you will ensure our members are engaged and supported with a range of services and benefits.

As a key point of contact for our network in the North East, you will work alongside our pool of volunteer consultants to support our members.

Other organisations may call this role Regional Project Officer, Regional Programme Officer, Project Delivery Officer, Programme Delivery Officer, or Service Delivery Officer.

Webrecruit and Sported are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment. Equal opportunities are the only acceptable way to conduct business and we believe that the more inclusive our environments are, the better our work will be.
