We are seeking a confident individual to engage and develop community involvement which builds trust, educates, and ultimately drives take up by fostering productive relationships. This role will require regular evening and weekend working.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop, support and implement community engagement plans, gaining access and be part of community groups and other appropriate initiatives to connect with diverse community groups.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local stakeholders, including community organisations, schools, businesses and key individuals and residents, acting as a key point of contact for communities, responding to enquiries, concerns, and feedback directly, escalating where appropriate.
- To organise and chair regular virtual & physical community events and workshops, and meetings to promote dialogue and collaboration.
- To identify and leverage local partnerships, creating and manage affiliate relationships where the value exchange is clear.
- Identify local media opportunities, as well as local events and use these to create channels of communication with the appropriate audiences.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that community perspectives & insights are considered in decision-making processes, program development, and service delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement activities, collecting data, and feedback to inform continuous improvement.

**Requirements**:

- A creative mind with the ability to identify and execute ideas that will drive community engagement.
- Passion for community development and commitment to promoting inclusivity and social equity.
- Proficiency in the use of marketing & digital communication tools and social media platforms.
- Knowledge and enthusiasm for fibre broadband is desirable. Experience of fibre broadband or other similar projects, either in a community, supplier or Local Authority context is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Confident with excellent communication skills, including writing, public speaking, presentations, and interpersonal communication.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- Most importantly, a proven ability to make things happen delivering tangible results.
- Full clean driving is essential.

**Remuneration & Location**

The role will be based out of our Highlands office. Travel will be required throughout the Highlands with shared territories with a 2nd community liaison officer, with further travel to the company’s other locations.

The role will also have a requirement to attend events in the evenings and at weekends, and therefore working hours need to be flexible to meet both business and customer needs.

Remuneration dependent on experience. Access to branded company pool car, Contributory Pension Scheme, eligible for the company bonus Structure.
