Our client is looking to appoint a Senior Factoring Officer on a full time, permanent basis. The role can be based from Inverness or Invergordon with regular site visits required.

The Senior Factoring Officer is responsible for managing the Factoring Team and ensuring that the services provided to customers are financially sustainable for factored and non-factored owners.The service must offer value for money for customers, be compliant with relevant laws, and focus on customer satisfaction.The role will enable the business to achieve its aims and objectives by supporting the outcomes of the lettings and sales functions.

**Duties include**
- Lead and provide professional residential factoring and communal areas services to private fully factored owners, clients and residents’ committees complying with legislation, internal policies, and procedures.
- Support the Head in ensuring provision of financial and legal administration services.
- Develop, implement, monitor and review factoring related policies and procedures including consultation, debt recovery, new development handovers and change of owner.
- Line manage the Factoring Team including workload allocation, service delivery, target setting, prioritisation, monitoring, training, development, and performance reviews.
- Ensure legal compliance with factoring related legislation, creating any necessary action plans for assurance purposes.
- Ensure liaison with assets team to review and audit tenants’ safety and maintain a comprehensive compliance action plan detailing any improvements.
- Support the Factoring Officer to liaise with contractors and internal departments to ensure services are procured and performance is managed.
- Assist with the annual review of operating costs and fees by ensuring contractors supply prices in the required format.
- Maximise efficiency and commercial profitability of existing activities and ensure effective administration of each new development handover.
- Support officers attending and chairing evening meetings with owners in line with the Title Deeds.
- Ensure income from the factoring business is maximised including through the effective management and recovery of arrears and debt, up to and including taking legal action and attending court.
- Delivery of client services to support tenant’s satisfaction with cleaning, grounds maintenance type contracts.
- Work closely with colleagues to support and contribute to the asset management, procurement and wider action strategies affecting the factoring business.
- Lead and deliver effective customer engagement for the factoring business.
- Seek customer feedback on factoring services and provide information on costs and charges, monitoring contract delivery performance for services and ensuring action is taken to manage contractor performance effectively.
- Deliver consultation with factored homeowners and mandate small scale projects, liaising with Property Services Team to commission project delivery, agree project timescales, implement arrangements, monitor and review delivery, and keep customers advised of progress.
- Investigate and resolve complaints.
- Effective management of Environmental Contracts in partnership with Property and Customer Services lead manager.
- Collaborating with the Head to create strategies, policies, and services.
- Managing risks and best practices.
- Supervising staff, setting goals, conducting assessments, and addressing training needs.
- Contributing to and executing Service Development, Improvement, and Project Plans.
- Adhering to budgets and financial resources, contributing to business plan reviews.
- Facilitating clear internal and external communication.
- Providing performance data and collaborating with auditors.
- Creating reports, attending board meetings, and contributing to strategy.
- Promoting organisational evolution as part of the Management Team.

**Person Specification**
- Qualifications_
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience to clearly demonstrate skill set is essential.
- Appropriate Factoring qualification or equivalent to demonstrable and successful working as a Factoring Officer.
- Professional qualification - may be substituted in exceptional cases where substantial direct relevant experience and appropriate skill set can be demonstrated.
- Commitment to work towards relevant professional qualifications and continuous professional development is required.
- Desirable_
- Postgraduate Diploma in Housing.
- Health and Safety, Management or Leadership Qualification.
- Experience & Knowledge_
- Experience within factoring or property management roles.
- Supervisory experience.
- Experience in establishing and managing residential repairs and maintenance contracts.
- Experience in delivering customer service including managing customer complaints.
- Good understanding of property management and factoring industry.
- Good understanding of Scottish Factoring legislation including Code of Conduct for Fa
