Job Purpose

Develop and deliver effective events and communications in line with the stakeholder management plan, in order to protect and enhance the Bank’s reputation and deliver its’ strategic plans.

Core Role Accountabilities:
- Monitor, collate and summarise external news, political and industrial agendas to inform stakeholder campaign development and issues management, and identify potential partnership opportunities to amplify the Bank’s campaigns.- Assist with the set up and implementation of owned and third-party engagement events, including digital events, making recommendations on the value of the event, liaising with organisers, and assisting Bank colleagues to prepare through the provision of communication content and guidance, to ensure the delivery of effective events.- Secure stakeholder advocacy for the delivery the Bank’s activities, through outreach and relationship building.- Track, record and report on internal communication and stakeholder engagement activity including the status of stakeholder relationships and opportunities for enhancement and monitor progress against actions to ensure delivery of the plan and development of stakeholder relationships.- Create and distribute communications, for internal and external stakeholder groups, ensuring content is timely and relevant, and in line with stakeholder and internal communications plan.- Act as a point of contact for external suppliers e.g. agencies, to assist with the delivery of communication content or activities by the supplier, and monitor performance, mitigating and escalating risks/issues as appropriate to ensure effective delivery in line with the plan.- Monitor external resources and third-party communication activity and work with the Digital team to capture and report on insights about opportunities or risks of reputational damage.- Provide content and make recommendations to facilitate the effectiveness of the intranet as an internal communication and information tool.- Work with People team to develop internal communications and associated external communications to promote the employer brand and enhance recruitment activity.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:
Knowledge:
- An understanding of the fundamentals of stakeholder mapping.- A working knowledge of managing CRMs in delivery of stakeholder engagement plans and activity.

**Experience**:
- Significant experience of working in a stakeholder engagement/relations team within an issues rich environment and for a business with high profile stakeholders.- Proficient in tracking and measuring success of stakeholder engagement campaigns including pro-actively and independently monitoring activity plans.- Understanding of working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to build strong and enduring relationships.- Experience working within a broader communications team whereby campaigns are integrated for media, stakeholder and internal audiences.- Desirable: _Experience using CRMs to deliver stakeholder engagement plans and activities- Desirable:_ Experience of delivering internal communications and engagement activity.- Desirable_: Experience of working in the public sector

**Skills**:
- Good writing skills and the ability to produce reports from complex information in a clear format- Awareness of project management and excellent planning skills- Good communicator, able to flex style to suit a broad range of audiences (internal and external)- The ability to take the initiative and work independently and with resilience, as well as work collaboratively within a wider team- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and ensure effective prioritisation and use of resources
