**Summary of the role**:
This role is focused on creating, developing, and coordinating positive relationships between employers and learners, sector industry stakeholders, through excellent on boarding and induction of learners, communication processes to maintain and provide growth opportunities for funded provision. The post holder will be integral in consistently meeting learner and employer learning and development targets, including the English and math, additional learning needs, from initial assessment to course completion, through the effective use of guidance and support, to reduce skills gaps and enhance organisational efficiency towards positive learner impact, whilst providing appropriate Information, Advice and Guidance to learners to enable them to progress within their chosen career path.

To proactively identify new opportunities communicating and engaging existing, new customers, creating new leads/partnerships and opportunities.

**Responsibilities**

As **Learner Engagement Officer**, you will need to:

- Plan and coordinate, (if needed, deliver functional skills English and Math, ALS, as and when required).
- Coordinate effective on - boarding activity, following and implementing compliant processes to meet organisation, Funder, OFSTED requirements.
- Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation and foster and develop relationships with customers/clients/learners.
- Undertake initial and diagnostics assessments on each learner, to subsequently inform of correct Information, Advice and Guidance.
- Ensure learner eligibility and that learners presented to delivery for the course are eligible for funding and ensure that all onboarding paperwork is completed and is accurately and timely. Maintain learner records accurately and ensure all evidence is readily available and accessible for audit and quality purposes.
- Guide and inform learners and employers on future opportunities, “Next steps”, to go above and beyond personal learning and employment opportunities.
- Deliver open days, information, advice, and guidance sessions to promote the programmes available to potential participants.
- Conduct initial assessments to support ALS needs and evidence reports to support funding compliance.
- Support with learner and stakeholder feedback; contributing to SB Skills Solutions cycle of quality improvement.
- Complete all relevant required Funder/OFSTED compliant paperwork to a high standard.
- Have good experience and understanding of Adult Education standards, delivery model, funding and quality regulatory body requirements.
- To meet KPI’s required as per your managers instructions.
- Support internal and external audit requirements to meet regulatory body needs.
- Seek and respond to learner and employer feedback on performance and improvement practice.
- Obtain written confirmation of learner progression post course completion
- Attend internal/external training where required
- To always work within the company’s vision & mission statement
- To ensure monthly performance targets are met as a minimum
- Attend seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate
- Help to plan promotion campaigns
- Create a new learner pipeline

**Working hours**
- Your normal working hours are, 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, though you may on occasion have to work flexibly to meet a project deadline or when attending an event or conference.
