A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Mental Health
Practitioner to join our innovative Health and Justice Services in developing trauma-informed pathways at St Joseph’s Approved Premises.

The successful applicant will be required to help identify, support and assess the needs of individuals who present with mental health problems and learning disabilities as they make the transition from Prison to community mental health services.

The post holder will provide case management to clients with diagnoses of
severe and enduring mental health needs, frequently presenting with a history of insecure attachments in childhood and subsequent trauma. Clients will often have an additional history of alcohol and substance use.

You will be an enthusiastic practitioner with experience of working with
complex service users within a health and social care environment and
knowledge of the issues that face such clients who present within the criminal justice system.

The Trust operates district community and inpatient mental health services in Bolton, Salford and Trafford as well as specialist mental health services across the North West. We also offer local alcohol and drug services throughout several boroughs of Greater Manchester and Lancashire, as well as regional inpatient services.
