**Base**: Homebased with travel to Head office, Stoke on Trent - **37.5 hours Monday to Friday**

Working collaboratively with our People Director, this role is accountable for implementing the strategic direction for colleague experience, wellbeing and inclusion agendas, ensuring that current and future needs of our people are met, at every interaction, creating a fantastic colleague experience across the employee life cycle and prioritising wellbeing in our decision making.
Acting as the deputy for the People Director, this role is a great step for someone who is looking to gain experience of leading a People Team, with this in mind, generalist experience across HR is essential and Employee Relations knowledge is a must. Day to day, the role has accountability for a small team within the department, responsible for Inclusion, Wellbeing, Experience, Resourcing and Onboarding.

**An outline of your responsibility as a **Head of People Experience**
- Manage, motivate, and develop the People Experience team to provide comprehensive operational support in delivering the People team strategy and vision.
- Enhance the colleague onboarding journey, ensuring colleagues are fully equipped in their role.
- Designing approaches that assess employee engagement across organisations
- Lead the continuous improvement of our early leaver rate, Identify trends and practices that contribute and implement strategies to prevent reoccurrence.
- Championing and driving inclusion, guided by the inclusion strategy driving and shaping actions and accountabilities to champion and evolve the cultural values and inclusive working practices, reaffirming colleagues sense of belonging and drive a culture of trust. Creating positive action interventions that support under-represented groups.
- Coach and upskill managers and colleagues on the value of colleague experience and wellbeing. Implement wellbeing activities that promote colleagues to feel that wellbeing is a business priority.
- Drive forward data metrics, establish insights and trends and share these to support strategic decision making.
- Act as an escalation point for complex Employee Relations queries.
**About You**
You will have experience of working at a **Senior level within a HR team,** ideally within a national business, you will have strong HR generalist and some specialist knowledge, which will give you the ability to hit the ground running and contribute effectively with our workload. There will be opportunities to lead on a number of projects and the role enables accountability and collaboration with colleagues throughout the company. Leading from the front, you will also need great influencing and stakeholder management skills and the ability to work under mínimal direction on multiple tasks. This would be a great opportunity for someone aspiring to become a People Director.
