The Business Development Director position is a fast paced and hands on role focused on driving growth. It is a customer facing role at a high level of seniority for both new and existing business, so your ability to inspire, motivate and engage stakeholders and direct reports is a must.

The key responsibilities in this role include;
- Building a strong pipeline of new business opportunities for your regional team, aligned to our strategy and core strengths.
- Developing and presenting bespoke supply chain solutions to customers including e-commerce solutions, packaging solutions as well as core warehousing and transport solutions.
- Renewing key business ensuring we maintain a Customer for Life ethos and approach.
- Collaborating cross functionally throughout the sales process.
- Leading 2 Business Development Manager direct reports.

- Extensive track record of winning in sales and a demonstrable ability to solve customer needs.
- Strategic thinking which can interpret and predict customers needs.
- Positive and can do attitude.
- Ability to be a self-starter and to build pipeline of new business opportunities to achieve and exceed growth targets set for region.
- Experience with researching categories and target customers needs and matching them to solutions.
- Ability to prepare to win through all sales stages from targeting to pitching to closing the deal and implementing solutions.
- Interpersonal savvy to navigate and network internally and externally to build insight and relationships.
- Ability to re-win business and grow existing business through added value service solutions.
