Purchasing Assistant

Overview:
**Duties**:
- Accept deliveries and assist with good inwards
- Place orders to deadlines to maintain stock levels
- Communicate with suppliers
- Book incoming stock onto stock management systems
- Assisting inventory control
- Negotiate competitive prices and contracts with suppliers
- Work closely with accounts team and provide assistance
Desirable requirements:
- Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role
- Knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favourable terms with suppliers
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
