Purchase Ledger Assistant

**The Opportunity**
The primary responsibility of this role will be to manage the processing of invoices for purchases made through our buying group membership. Additionally, you will be tasked with reconciling the group account to ensure accuracy and readiness for payment.

**The Role**
- Receive and review invoices for purchases made through our buying group membership.
- Verify accuracy and completeness of invoices, including purchase order matching where applicable.
- Enter invoice details accurately in to bespoke system, ensuring all invoices are coded correctly.
- Resolve any discrepancies or issues with invoices in a timely manner.
- Regularly reconcile the buying group account to ensure it aligns with our records and reflects accurate transactions.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between our records and the group account.
- Liaise with internal departments to obtain necessary approvals and information for invoice processing.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding invoice-related enquiries or discrepancies.
- Any other ad hoc duties required by the Finance Manager.
**Key Attributes of The Role**
- AAT or equivalent (desirable).
- A minimum of two years’ experience working in a busy accounts department.
- Recent accounts administration experience and good computer skills.
- The ability to work both independently and with direction is a necessity.
