**The Role**:
Portland is an ever-changing business, and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior People Advisor to join our dynamic International People Team of 8 to support us in achieving our business deliverables from recruitment, reward, learning and development, employee relations and succession planning.

We’re seeking an exceptional Junior People Advisor on a 12-month fixed term contract to support our People function as we deliver on these ambitious goals. We’re looking for someone who can read French (essential) and speak (desirable) and is Fluent in English as they will be working closely with our International Offices.

This is a great opportunity for someone to join our team in a fast-paced high-volume agency, providing high level guidance and support for the whole employee lifecycle.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide HR generalist and administrative support to Portland International offices (Europe, US, Singapore, Qatar)
- Updating and monitoring an accurate and efficient HR database, employee records and HR administrative tasks
- Administration of employee lifecycle changes, including the preparation of associated documentation and communication of payroll updates to Payroll Team for all international offices
- Preparing documentation relating to employment matters such as promotions, job changes, references, benefits, and pay for all international offices.
- Support People Team with report management, system updates and general employee queries
- Managing the HR inbox for our International offices and and acting as a point of contact for day-to-day operational HR issues.
- Be the point of contact for all employee relations and compliance matters for International offices.
- Coordinate with local employment and government institutions for country specific matters.
- Collaborate & support the People Team in delivering the People Agenda and projects here at Portland.

**Key Requirements**:

- 2-3 years’ experience within a similar role
- HR background preferably bachelor or masters in HR is desired.
- Generalist HR/People knowledge at an experienced advisor level - providing advice on a range of people issues such as disciplinaries, grievances, and sickness absence.
- Excellent administration skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work with and communicate effectively with others in the team.
- Be technically astute with experience of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Fluent in English and ability to read French is essential, Fluent to speak French is desired.
- Understanding of employment law in the UK and France (desirable)
