Our volunteers are vital to our ongoing success at Bookmark and our team are focused on providing them with a positive and rewarding volunteer experience. As a Volunteer Coordinator you’ll support our volunteers and proactively look for ways to grow our volunteer community. We’re looking for someone with a passion for volunteering and experience delivering excellent service and working to targets.

Contract type: Permanent

**Salary**: £25,500

Location: Minimum two days per week based at the Bookmark office (London), with flexibility around home working for the remaining days

Hours: 37.5 per week

Deadline: Thursday 31st August, 11.59pm

**Volunteer Engagement**
- Demonstrable experience in meeting and exceeding KPIs and enjoys working in a target-driven environment
- Work with the Volunteer Attraction & Engagement Manager to deliver the Volunteer Strategy and Bookmark’s vision
- Increase volunteer activeness, satisfaction and retention
- Act as a point of contact for volunteer concerns and queries, escalating when required and using this information to identify process improvements and reduce ongoing issues
- Actively share ideas from the wider team, volunteer community and wider stakeholders to deliver on required outcomes and continuously improve the volunteer experience
- Coordinate the implementation of activities and initiatives to deliver the required outcomes, supported by other functions in the charity
- Support our corporate volunteering offer to ensure partners have an excellent experience
- Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of events and drop-in sessions for prospective, onboarding and onboarded volunteers - supported by other teams and external experts where appropriate, to host sessions
- Continuous development and coordination of other support services, including but not limited to our volunteer messaging platform, FAQs and the Volunteer Line
- Encourage volunteers to help and support each other, by facilitating peer-to-peer communication
- Coordinate volunteer reward and recognition initiatives
- Act as the voice of the volunteers, sharing praise, raising concerns and highlighting issues to the charity
- Provide advice based on volunteer feedback to the wider organisation
- Support the volunteers on the Volunteer Advisory Board

**Volunteer Attraction**
- Actively promote Bookmark’s volunteering offer through online and in-person events
- Lead volunteer interviews
- Maintain Bookmark presence on volunteer platforms, ensuring content is updated and engaging
- Articulate the benefits and value of volunteering with Bookmark to prospective and current partners

General responsibilities
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve Bookmark’s processes across all areas
- Identify and lead on collaborations and partnerships with other organisations that align with our vision and values to support more children, and support us to achieve our aims
- Input and maintain accurate and up-to-date information on our systems, including Salesforce CRM and SharePoint
- Ensure that all activity helps to build Bookmark’s brand and is always brand compliant

- Passionate about our vision and mission

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Enjoys using data to improve performance
- A strong focus on safeguarding and a child-centred approach
- Confident in presenting to a variety of audiences
- Ability to work across functions

- A passion for administration, process and procedures and working at scale
- Ability to engage a variety of audiences
- Strong time management and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel and Word)
- Technically literate with the ability to support less-technically minded stakeholders
- Salesforce and/or SharePoint experience is desirable
- Interviewing and recruitment admin experience desirable
