Royal Ascot is broadcast in over 150 territories with a reach of over half a billion people with significant and growing digital and social media engagement. It is a marquee event in the global sports and leisure calendar.

Ascot hosts around 600,000 racegoers a year across 26 race days, 300,000 of whom come to the five days of Royal Ascot. Royal Ascot capacity can reach an attendance of 75,000 on a day. Ascots conference and events business welcomes a further 200,000 customers a year outside racing.

Ascot aims to offer its racegoers something for everyone who wishes to be involved, and Royal Ascots offerings reflect this through the entry level Windsor picnic enclosure, the mid-tier Village enclosure, the central Queen Anne Enclosure and ultimately the Royal Enclosure. And incorporating up to 7000 racegoers in a wide range of private box and restaurant fine dining facilities.

**ROLE**
This role is a key part of the Racing team, supporting the Owners, Trainers and Breeders Manager and Head of Racing & Clerk of the Course, both administratively and as a representative of Ascot Racecourse and the racing operation.

The Racing Executive will carry out a range of clerical duties for the department as well as managing relationships with key stakeholders including racing officials and horsemen.

This is a part time role (three days a week) with a requirement to work every raceday, including those at weekends.

**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Support the Head of Racing and Owners, Trainers and Breeders Manager with administrative tasks including, but not limited to; letter writing, diary management, minute taking, processing badge requests and department planning systems
- To support the Head of Racing with key racing office operations including managing the Racing Administrative System and being a key contact for industry officials
- Assist with the strategy and delivery of department specific marketing and digital activities including, for example, the production of promotional and website management
- Assist the Owners, Trainers and Breeders Manager in delivering the best experience for both domestic and international horsemen in the lead up, during and post racedays. Tasks include processing badge requests, supporting the Owners and Trainers Desk team and communicating with connections in advance and on the day
- Complete the necessary department preparations around and during racedays. Tasks include, but not limited to; trophy management, ordering raceday vehicles, recording data, sending owners photo montages and other ad hoc tasks required
- Researching and presenting data such as international world rankings and prize money comparisons on behalf of the department
- Maintaining and continuing a filing system, both electronic and hard copy where necessary, for the department
- Work all racedays during the year, including those at weekends
- Such other duties as the Company may, at times, reasonably require

**SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Be proactive and have excellent IT skills; being fluent in word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations as well as internet research abilities and strong communication skills
- Good literacy, numeracy and keyboard skills
- A good level of English spelling and grammar
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- The ability to work within a team as well as independently
- Knowledge of the horseracing industry is advantageous but not mandatory
