XEIAD are continuing to grow the Rail Team and are seeking a **Safety Critical Support **to join our team.

You will work as part of the rail team to assist with successful delivery of allocated contracts, ensuring that all works are undertaken safety and in accordance with XEIAD policies and procedures.

Reporting to the Resource Manager, the Safety Critical Support, will be responsible for the following:

- To promote safe working practices, ensure full implementation and compliance with site safety procedures.
- Carry out site safety duties as required to deliver the contract, including ES, COSS/PIC, Points Operator, Machine Controller, Level Crossing Attendant.
- Responsible for the submission of accurate site records to enable the effective monitoring of programme and cost plans as requested.
- Ensure that PIC/COSS briefs are carried out for all work tasks prior to commencement of work.
- Ensure that all allocated tasks are undertaken in accordance with the planned safe method of working.
- Supervise sub-contractors, contract staff and direct labour for allocated site activities.
- Undertake POS duties and pre-site walkouts.
- Undertake RRV access point visits and OHL walkouts.
- Undertake site visits, signal box visits and 3rd party access meetings.
- Assist the planning manager in Safe System of Work Planning.
- Attend PICOP and whiteboard meetings.
- Undertake ALO Planner duties as required, including ALO co-ordination on-site.
- Act as Private sidings Access Co-ordinator where required.
- The role is one of site supervision and generally based in a site environment. It is a requirement of the role to attend site on a regular basis (including night time and weekends)
- A safety first approach to operational delivery is critical, with a focus on delivering the highest quality of service and ensuring that projects are delivered and aligned to our clients objectives and goals._

A background in the rail industry and knowledge of railway operations on-site would be essential, along with:

- Full driving licence.
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence and communicate effectively with site staff.
- Sentinel competencies to include as a minimum:

- PTS
- COSS/PIC
- SWL 1 & 2
- Engineering Supervisor
- PO, MC, LXA

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£29,540.00 per year
