This is a new role and an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist or registered pre-hospital clinician who is passionate about patient safety and making a difference. This role will be part of the medical directorate and will have the opportunity to drive and deliver the medication safety agenda and strategy across the organisation.

The successful post holder will work closely with the Trust Patient Safety Team to drive change and improvement within the Trust regarding medication safety, as well building an effective network on both regional and national level. The post holder will also have opportunity to implement positive change to protocols, policy, process, and audit as a senior clinician within the Trust.

The role would suit an experienced clinician, who has a good attention to detail and good communication skills as well as an understanding of the incident reporting process. Training requirements will be discussed at interview and a robust induction and education package will be on offer. This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop your understanding of how medication errors occur and to work with individuals and teams to identify solutions/barriers to prevent them occurring again. With this will come an understanding of human factors and a systems-based approach to medicines safety.
