The Health Research Authority is currently seeking a Communication and Engagement Manager (Clinical Trial Regulations).
The HRA has been working with the Medicine and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to develop a framework for clinical trials in the UK.
The proposed approach, which has recently been out to public consultation, is to move to proportionate legislation, complemented by guidance.
These changes are designed to facilitate well-designed research and provide a more agile framework that can adapt more easily to innovation in clinical trials and clinical trial design. The changes are a key part of the UK vision for future clinical research.
The Communications and Engagement Manager will work as part of project team supporting the implementation of new clinical trials legislation and will devise and deliver communications and engagement plans to support the upcoming change.
They will manage strategic stakeholder relationships and act as an ambassador for the clinical trial regs project, within and outside the organisation.
The post holder will work closely with the HRA's communications and engagement teams. They'll produce high-quality, effective communications, co-ordinate stakeholder groups, and ensure that evaluation metrics and stakeholder intelligence are gathered and sharedacross the organisation.
A self-starter with creative ideas, the Communications and Engagement Manager will manage their own work, ensuring delivery to timelines that support the progress of the programme as a whole and support the needs of the organisation.
This is a Temporary position until 31st March 2023
Full time 37.5 hours per week
Location : Any HRA office or home based
Pay rate: £16.97 to £21.66 per hour dependent on experience
