The role:
In this role, you will be proactive in supporting the Head of Communications and Engagement as well as the wider Communications team in the delivery of the communications and engagement plan. As a trusted advisor, you will engage with other team membersto represent the brand and its values.
Tasks will include overseeing the weekly newsletter, managing the bi-monthly magazine, and ensuring timely, well-organised messaging across a variety of platforms, such as Yammer. You will manage the delivery of internal events and activities, support thestrategic needs of the business and provide expert guidance to senior leaders.
Other tasks include:
- Storytelling through words and images
- Contributing in leading crisis communications
- Driving internal and external commitments to charity, community and corporate sponsorships
You have relevant Communications experience (notably with expertise in Internal Communications and some Media Relations). You are an excellent writer, being able to adapt content to a variety of audiences, and can manage and deliver online and offline events.Additionally, as a team player, you are a true professional with outstanding listening, organisational and time management skills.
Given the seniority level, you will deal with highly confidential information and be able to engage with colleagues from a range of backgrounds. You are a strategic thinker with a positive attitude and have a willingness to learn. Ideally, you will havesufficient technical proficiency to create videos and have some knowledge and experience of the transport industry. Line management experience is also desirable.
