**Role Purpose**:
Support delivery of policy compliance responsibilities for B&Q focusing on product on boarding and continuous assessment against ethical sourcing criteria. Implementing ethical sourcing programme requirements within the B&Q supply chain and supporting new human rights programme work.

**Key responsibilities**

Support delivery of policy compliance responsibilities for B&Q focusing on product on boarding and continuous assessment against ethical sourcing criteria. Implementing ethical sourcing programme requirements within the B&Q supply chain and supporting new human rights programme work.
- Supporting categories through the Sustainability ethical on-boarding process
- Liaising with new and existing vendors; helping suppliers understand our requirements
- Liaising with the Commercial Category Team to progress approval of new products and vendors
- Managing, reviewing and interpreting complex audit data to grade and prioritise manufacturing sites
- Supporting the Ethical Sourcing Manager on manufacturing site improvement programmes
- Contributing to programme improvement and data management
- Owning relationships with Commercial Categories
- Uploading vendor data to the internet storage platform
- Tracking of work flow tasks, data input and work flow management in Jira system
- Contributing to regular internal reporting
- Supporting new Human Rights programme delivery in key supply chains, including risk assessment, programme set up and reporting

**Required skills & experience**

**Essential Technical / Professional Qualifications (if required)**:

- 3 years’ experience in a sustainability, ethical sourcing or compliance role preferable

**Other Requirements**:Ability to drive; Ability to travel away from home, including overnight occasionally

**Required Skills & Experience**:
You will be familiar with ethical sourcing requirements, audit data management and ideally SEDEX ethical database
- Data gathering, analysis and communication
- Thorough, process orientated, systematic and logical in thought and communication
- Collaborative, solutions-focused and flexible
- Pro-active, self -sufficient and highly motivated
- Keen to learn and progress; passion for sustainability
- Confident in presenting to colleagues, including project updates and potential resolutions
- Knowledge of international human rights and labour rights norms within the supply chain context
- Experience in Commercial supply chains
- Experience engaging with Senior Leadership
