**Responsible Sourcing Wood & Paper Specialist**
**12 Months Secondment**
**Up to £36,000 + Pension + BUPA + ShareSave + 6.6 weeks holiday + Hybrid Working ( 3 x days per week in the office)**

**Key responsibilities**
To support the cross functional work to implement B&Q wood and paper sustainability policies, monitoring vendors & merchants against agreed targets and managing progress towards full certification and compliance to new regulations
- Supporting the Wood & Paper Managers with vendor and merchant certification and claims programmes.
- Supporting categories through the Sustainability Wood & Paper product assessment and on-boarding process.
- Supporting the broader sustainability functions of the team.
- Liaising with new and existing vendors, helping merchants understand our requirements.
- Liaising with the Commercial Category Team to progress approval of new vendors.
- Managing, reviewing and interpreting complex supply chain and risk data to meet regulatory requirements.
- Contributing to Wood & Paper programme improvement and data management.
- Uploading vendor data to the internet storage platform.
- Tracking of Workflow tasks, data input and workflow management in Jira system.
- Contributing to regular internal reporting.
- Supporting system and programme improvements to deliver regulatory and chain of custody requirements.
**Required skills & experience**
**Essential**
- Either:
- Familiarity with Chain of Custody supply chain requirements, material data management and ideally wood and paper regulations OR
- Experience in commercial supply chains.
- Data gathering & analysis.
- Thorough, process orientated, systematic and logical thought and communication.
**Preferable**
- Experience in a sustainability, regulatory or compliance role or business/ commercial or buying roles.
- Experience using SAP and other quality management systems (QMT, Jira).
- Data gathering & analysis.

- Collaborative, solutions-focused and flexible.
- Pro-active, self -sufficient and highly motivated.
- Keen to learn and progress.
- Passion for sustainability.
- Confident in presenting to colleagues, including project updates and potential resolutions.
- Full UK Driving licence
- Ability to drive and travel away from home, including overnight occasionally (Company pool car available for company travel purposes).
