**Job Description: Office Assistant (Part Time)**

The Position
We seek an organised and efficient individual to manage the day-to-day activities of our office.

**Role and responsibilities**:

- Supporting the Founding Director, including diary management and proofreading.
- Managing and organising stock control within the office, including items returned from our logistics partners & stock management for seasonal pop-up events.
- Manage and organise post; including quality checks, returning stock, postage & packing, printing labels and quality checks.
- Coordinate quality control documentation, including checks of all incoming stock, returns and non-stockable items.
- Attend weekly management meetings and fill in trackers as required.
- Maintain a close liaison with customer happiness representatives. Occasional covering of customer happiness may be required.
- Seek continuous improvement within the team and operation.
- Manage ‘pre-loved’ items. Make sure that all the items being sold have the correct SKUs, sizes and prices. Update database as required.
- Reconcile stock with daily monitoring of stock reports and regular physical stock takes.
- Organisation of stock - willingness & ability to move stock boxes.
- Manage customer returns to the office, adhere to return policy, check SKUs & log issues on database. Liaise directly with the customer happiness team.
- Ensure compliance with the policies and procedures of the company at all times.
- Managing office supplies (card readers, stationery, consumables, office cleanliness, general waste & recycling, disposal of confidential waste).

**Key Skills and Attributes**:

- Strong understanding of attention to detail, accuracy & quality.
- Capacity to use initiative and work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence using a wide variety of technology and software - such as Shopify & Apple iOS

- Experienced in MS Office and Google Suite.
- Highly motivated and resourceful mindset.
- Use of initiative when met with challenges. Solution driven.
- Ability to work in a growing company and meet deadlines.

Data Analytical Skills.
- Previous E-commerce experience desirable.
- Full driving licence and experience of fleet vehicles and trailers desirable.

**Company Profile**
Tom’s Trunks specialise in producing the most comfortable beach and bed wear whilst looking after the natural world and its inhabitants. Founded in 2014, now an established brand with a base of core customers and expanding rapidly. We have a small team based in a studio near Cambridge and distribute through a third-party fulfilment warehouse. We have a strong online presence and seasonal pop-up shops. Our mission is to make the most eco-friendly beach and bedwear whilst optimising comfort.

**Schedule**
Part-time.
Flexible - although daily office presence is required in order to process returns and deal with post.
(Our office is open from 8:30 am - 17:30)
Monday - Friday with a willingness to work occasional weekends.
This role offers scope to take on additional responsibility.
Work Location: Tom’s Trunks Studio, based in Thriplow, South Cambridge
