**The HR Coordinator role**:
You will provide an efficient proactive administrative service from the start of the employee lifecycle to the end, including accurate processing of data, which will include new starters, employees and non-employees. You will develop a deep understandingof your customer group in terms of the movement and changes by working closely with the HR Advisory team and Science Operations Administrators.

There will be opportunities to work on a range of projects supporting continuous improvement and objectives within the immediate team and wider HR function.

**Responsibilities of our HR Coordinator will include**:
These include but are not limited to:

- Developing an understanding of Workday for the purposes of your daily role to ensure the maintenance of good quality data in line with agreed data structures and configurations, and to ensure efficient, auditable processes
- Managing administration areas such as recruitment, new starters, leavers and employee changes in Workday in accordance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Managing employee electronic personnel files in line with standard operating procedures
- Making suggestions for the on-going improvement and optimisation of Workday processes in your area, working collaboratively with the relevant colleagues
- Contributing to the continual maintenance of key standard operating procedures
- Reporting any concerns relating to security access, data quality or process to the systems manager
- Developing an understanding of reporting capability in Workday to support your role and end users, running reports as needed & supporting in their improvement and design
- Work with hiring managers and HR partners to provide advice and support throughout the recruitment life cycle administering high volumes of recruitment activity
- Delivering an excellent on-boarding experience for new starters, including delivering HR inductions
- Ensuring roles are advertised appropriately and vacancies that may require a visa are compliant

**Skills and experience we are looking for in our HR Coordinator**:

- Ability to build rapport with a wide cross section of people and maintain good working relationships;
- Good team working skills;
- Exceptional understanding of providing a high level of customer service to everyone engaged and employed at the institute;
- Well organised with a strong ability to prioritise;
- Communicating information effectively;
- Tact and discretion when dealing with confidential information;
- Strong problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail;
- Good understanding and experience of working in a changing environment.
- Great knowledge and understanding of good HR practice including recruitment administration;
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and outlook;
- Administrative and customer service experience.
