We have an exciting opportunity available for an **HR Systems Manager** to join one of the world’s leading research Institutes at a crucial time in its evolution, and play a definitive role in shaping it for the future. You will join us on a **full time, permanent basis** and in return, you will receive a competitive salary **from £55,000 per annum depending on skills and experience plus great benefits**

**The HR Systems Manager role:**

Reporting into the HR Systems & Process Improvement Lead, you will be responsible for the day to day management of all HR Systems (Workday, ArchHR, Speak Up & the HR dashboard etc.), including the over-sight and co-ordination of system support. You willlead on the forming and development of a HR Reporting strategy and the strategic planning of the long-term evolution of all HR Systems but predominately Workday. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across HR, Finance and IT and will pro-activelyseek to strengthen these relationships.

**Responsibilities of our HR Systems Manager**:

- Configure, test, validate and implement business process changes in Workday, to support BAU, optimization and continuous improvement activities
- Manage all functional aspects of Workday HCM, and the day to day management and maintenance of this, including design and implementation of processes to ensure tasks in Workday are either completed, purged or removed if not completed
- Work with the HR Systems & Process Improvement Lead to support the coordination and drive automation of HR Systems and process improvement, and identify areas of improvement to ensure we are using the system effectively, and suggest further system changesand enhancements are appropriate
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of relevant data structures and plans in Workday
- Develop and deliver the Reporting strategy for HR and contribute to the overall cross-functional strategy of this
- Manage the development of the HR Dashboard & Quarterly Report including on any integrations required to create, manipulate and publish data reports onto the HR Dashboard
- Own and govern the security framework for HR within Workday and other systems and contribute to cross-functional efforts relating to this, and conducting monthly audits of security roles and users
- Document and maintain system and processes, procedures and user guides relating to HR systems, security and reporting services
- Lead the bi-annual Workday release cycle including (but not limited to) following activities:

- Research & assess changes to existing functionality and any new functionality and how this impacts current set-up
- Present additional functionality & changes to HR Functional Leads to ensure their engagement in review, testing and sign-off of any changes in their areas
- Ensure SMEs deliver required updates to training materials & user guides
- Be responsible for the governance and maintenance of delegations in Workday, in conjunction with Finance ensuring any changes are in line with policy and process

**Skills and experience we are looking for in our HR Systems Manager**:

- A good understanding of HR best practice across employee lifecycle processes
- A strong track record of making best use of technology in the design and continuous improvement of HR processes
- Extensive technical knowledge of Workday core HCM, including reporting, security, and relevant exposure to compensation, benefits, payroll, time-tracking, absence, talent & performance and learning
- Good understanding of the configuration of business processes, including the management of business process policies, notifications & alerts and rule-based configuration
- Knowledge of Workday data management processes such as EIBs uploads and object transporter
- Practical understanding of system and data integration points between HR and other IT systems including user authentication
- Ability to cover for HR Systems Analyst role as and when required
- Experience of using ServiceNow or similar service management software
