**Overview**:
Gerrard Cross Community Library wants to appoint a dynamic Customer Services Officer who will be responsible for the efficient provision of a customer focussed library service. The staff are supported by a team of volunteers who assist in special events as well as helping serve the public.

Although primarily based at Gerrards Cross, this is part of a group of libraries and it is expected that the post holder would be willing/able to travel to work at other library branches as and when required.

This is a part time role for 18.25 hours per week, with a working pattern of:
Tuesday 1pm-6.30pm, Thursday 12pm-5pm, Friday 12pm-5pm and alternate Saturdays 9.30am-4pm

**Fixed**

As a ‘fixed’ worker, you’ll spend most of your time in the same location, which will likely be a fixed office or location where your role is performed. Typically, you’ll be based in the same location as the rest of your team, because you provide a particular service from that fixed location or need access to information there.

**About you**:
If you're brilliant at helping customers with enquiries, with skills to promote and help access to digital services, and are keen to develop the library as a community hub with access and support to Council information then we want to hear from you.

You must have experience in supervision and supporting staff and volunteers in delivering a professional knowledgeable customer service to residents and visitors

You will develop and deliver relevant, cost-effective and modern library services that support national and local priorities with reference to promoting digital inclusion as well as Health and Wellbeing and Cultural initiatives.

**Other information**:
Please note that as this is a part-time position for 18.25 hours per week the actual salary pro-rata is between £11,234 and £11,810 per annum.
