Office Administrator

Based: Milton Keynes MK10

Part Time (25 hours per week)

Salary £ 11.63-12.73 per hour Pro rata

The client is a community focused local authority. We actively engage with partners and residents to address concerns and wishes of the community. Their Office Administration team is expanding, and they are looking for part time positive, organised and committed people to fil this extremely important team role.

Supporting the Responsible Financial Officer by performing a variety of financial and administrative duties, handle bookings and assist staff with delivery of a busy project and events schedule. The role will also require dealing with residents, contactors in a positive manner and professional manner.

The core hours are Monday to Friday but a flexible approach is required to allow for attendance at council meetings, training, events and activities which may fall outside these core times and days,

Key Duties include:

- Provide the initial point of contact for all queries into council offices.
- Provided secretarial/administrative support for all members of the office team including Parish Manager
- Be responsible for the receipt of all cash/cheque payments from customers.
- Provide support for the council meeting process from collating documents for the agenda and additional information, communicating to Cllrs and residents.
- Support the Responsible Finance Officer (RFO) with the budgeting and financial processing/general accounting paperwork.
- Order and maintain an effective level of all supplies and products used or sold from the office.
- Provide a proactive resource to support the communication activities set up by the Communication Officer on all of the various communication channels.
- Supporting the Community Engagement events that require administration.
- Manage the facility bookings from receipt of a booking to raising the invoice.
- Experience in an Office Admin/Reception role including arranging meetings.
- Experience of dealing with the public and handling difficult situations
- Knowledge of Office systems
- Previous Bookkeeping experience
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills
- Organised

**Benefits include are pension employee contribution 5.8% and employer 20.3%. 25 days leave per annum plus bank holidays**
