As part of the North Mid apprenticeships team you will help support a successful and growing values driven apprenticeship programme. Our apprenticeships have enabled many young local people to access training and career development opportunities.

The post-holder will support the Apprentice Business Manager, Apprentice Programme Coordinator and wider apprenticeship Team to achieve the aims to develop and extend the Trust’s Apprenticeship scheme.
- To provide support and collaborate with the Apprentice Business Manager and wider apprenticeship team, in all areas relating to apprenticeships.
- Recording new starters on programmes accurately within apprenticeship tracking spreadsheet.
- Update and maintain learner progress notes on apprenticeship tracking spreadsheet using various external information sources.
- Closely monitor the apprenticeship tracking spreadsheet ensuring it is accurate across all tabs, making changes and updates within agreed timeframes.
- To support the Programme Co-ordinator with monitoring learner progress against expected targets based on feedback from training provider.
- Accurately input, retrieve and collate information using departmental and Trust computer systems, including recruitment information from ESR, being mindful of data protection at all times.
- To follow-up with managers once vacancies are approved as an apprenticeship to gain job descriptions and for training providers to confirm appropriate apprenticeship programme.
- Will also support with administration for Functional skills and Project Search programmes.

North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Hospital Trust (NMUH) is one of London’s busiest healthcare providers, providing hospital care and community services for the 350,000 people living in Enfield, Haringey and beyond.

Our specialist services include HIV, cardiology, blood disorders, diabetes, fertility, sickle cell and thalassemia. In addition to a full range of cancer diagnosis and treatment services, the Helen Rollason Cancer Support Centre is based on-site and provides services to support cancer patients’ wellbeing.

We also provide community services and have a dedicated 0-19 service for children and young people in Enfield so that they can get the best possible start in life. This includes health visitors and school nurses who are delivering the national Healthy Child Programme, which provides a structured framework for the delivery of key interventions to support the health and wellbeing of children and families from 0 to 5 and school aged children from 5-19. The 0-19 service aims to improve pathways and partnerships with services in the hospital and deliver excellent care for the children and families.
- Communicate effectively and use appropriate interpersonal skills with people, both internally and externally, maintaining the professional reputation of the Trust and department at all times.
- To work as part of a team alongside other staff within the HR department delivering a high quality service to other staff covering for colleagues as required.
- Retrieve and process mail, incoming and outgoing telephone calls in accordance with Trust policies.
- Liaise with other departments to assist in providing a high quality and efficient service sharing information as appropriate, supporting the wider HR Team to improve and develop the service.
- To ensure that confidentiality is strictly adhered to in line with legislation and Trust policies and procedures.
- To ensure all Health and Safety guidelines are followed and equipment is used according to instruction. Any potential hazards and accidents to be reported and recorded promptly in line with Trust policies and procedures.

Apprenticeships
