Accounts and Administration Assistant

Plumbing World is a large independent distributor of bathroom, plumbing and heating materials based in Rowley Regis in the West Midlands. We are expanding rapidly, so we now need an Accounts & Administration Assistant to work within our busy accounts and admin office.
This position will work within the Accounts and Admin team on general Sales and Purchase ledger tasks and also help with the administration of key business functions to help the company maximise its efficiency, increase profits, reduce costs, and provide a high-quality standard of service to all its customers.
**Key Responsibilities - not exclusive and may be adapted depending on the previous experience and skills of the individual appointed.**
- Printing, Matching and Inputting Purchase Invoices
- Processing and sending Customer Invoices and Statements
- General administration, filing and archiving of appropriate records
- Help and Support Credit Control Function (Subject to experience)
- Helping reconcile sales and purchase ledger accounts
- Responsibility for producing some Monthly KPI Information
- Detailed analysis as required by management of KPI information
- Open and distribute mail
- Provide administrative support to other team members as required
- To identify and suggest ways to improve efficiencies, improve profits and drive down costs to the business
- Act as an Ambassador for the Company at all times
- Full understanding and compliance with the Health and Safety Policy and Business Processes
- Any other duties commensurate with the post
**Person Specification**
- Have excellent numeracy skills with a methodical approach and good attention to detail.
- Strong organisational, planning and time management skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Good Business sense (understanding). Being business savvy and commercially aware
- Ability to prioritise work
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office software
- A desire to continuously improve performance and develop self - there may be the opportunity for personal and professional development.
- Helpful manner and can-do attitude
- Good telephone manner
**Qualifications - desired but not essential**
- Any appropriate accounting qualification or accreditation
- Any Experience in Credit Control
Office Based
40 Hours - Monday - Friday - Flexibility in the starting time and finishing time
Salary £25k +
