As a Procedures Specialist you’ll develop, implement and maintain business procedures for NGET. You’ll be responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the policies and procedures within the portfolio. You’ll identify procedural requirements from legislative or regulatory changes, or from standard updates, and you’ll write deliverable, compliant procedural documentation and project manage implementation.
You’ll have accountability for your portfolio of procedures, including effective stakeholder management to ensure the procedures and policies comply with legislation and are effectively implemented by our business units.
We are flexible on base location of this role, however travel will be required to Warwick for team meetings a couple of times during the month and this can be combined with hybrid working from home.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Support the design and be responsible for maintaining NGET’s safety, health, environmental, security and quality framework, aligned to ISO Standards, with input from SMEs.
- Horizon scan for any legislation, regulatory or Tier 1 changes relevant to policy or best practice across the industry.
- Identify and interpret relevant legislation into Tier 2 business policies and procedures with support from SMEs across NGET.
- Support the development and dissemination of training on policies, ensuring identification of all relevant audiences and that the policies are embedded into new working practice.
- Statutory Regulatory Reporting and Responsible Business Reporting.
- Coordinate shared learning and best practice and manage the relationship with cross entity forums/working groups. Create and maintain a suite of KPIs to ensure compliance to policy across NGET.
**What you'll need**:
You’ll have an understanding of the wider NGET business, and the technical and safety, risk and compliance issues relating to it. You’ll also have experience of policy writing, implementation, training and embedding into the ways of working.
A detailed understanding of legislation and regulations relating to technical and safety, health and environmental procedures is also required.
Good stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels of the business are key and you’ll also have a proven track record of working to and writing procedures and policy or technical papers. An HNC level qualification or significant business experience within this area is also required.
