**Reports to Operational Incident Manager**

Responsible for end to end management of all operational incidents from identification and resolution through to prevention. The Operational Incident Specialist will be responsible for any regulatory reporting requirements that may arise as part of an issue.

**Directly accountable for**:

- Providing key stakeholders across Payment, Treasury and Customer Operations with both accurate and frequent updates relating to Operational incidents
- Identification and resolution of complex incidents and problems
- Prioritisation of both short and long term solutions
- Ensuring regulatory thresholds for Safeguarding Breaches and Major Operational Incident reporting are monitored and triggered where necessary - creating and compiling any paperwork required
- Owning the recovery of any potential financial losses incurred
- Following incident framework procedures for escalation, out of hours support, fast problem resolution and to calculate potential risk
- Utilising incident dashboards and date to help drive reactive and proactive initiatives across cross functional groups
- Providing support for major incidents outside of UK business hours with an on-call rota
- Participation in incident retrospectives and other incident related forums with development, delivery and technical support teams

**Build and maintain**:

- Strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Detailed understanding of: Operational and Treasury processes
- Safeguarding and Major Operational Incident requirements per entity
- Backlog of incident/issue categorised by root cause and level of priority

**Skills and Experience**:

- An operational background within financial services working in a fast paced, high volume and complex operational environment
- Experience in identifying and resolving operational incidents and issues
- Hands on and independent, ability to identify operational incidents/issues
- Have an interest in the payments, financial services, technology or FX industry
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent team working skills, ability to manage own workload and tenacious attention to detail
- Excellent stakeholder management Ability to switch between multiple incidents/issues
