**Customs Specialist**

We are recruiting for a Customs Specialist to join our Tamworth based client. You’ll be part of the Supply Chain Management Team and reporting to the SCM Team Manager. Your role will be to manage customs and transportation requirements, and various other key roles to assist the smooth running of warehouse processes.

**As a Customs Specialist,you will need to have/be**:

- Excellent communication and coordination, with both internal and external stakeholders
- IT literacy particularly with Microsoft Office packages
- Data analysis and reporting
- Warehouse logistics IT system handling
- Understanding of Supply Chain Principles
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Takes a ‘hands-on’ approach with self-starting ability and proactive nature
- Ability to work as part of a team

**Details**:

- **Salary**: £31, 000 - £32, 000 + £1, 610 lunch allowance (in addition to basic salary)
- **Working Hours**: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm
- **Location**: Tamworth
- **Duration**: Permanent

**Role of Customs Specialist**:

- Supporting Warehouse Team with preparing all dispatch paperwork (manifests, DGN, invoicing, etc)
- Arranging transport for warehouse orders requiring dispatch
- Analysis of Customs costs incurred, with focus on identifying any duty and tax savings
- Customs compliance checking
- Regular customs process review and improving the daily process
- Coordination with customs agent
- Day to day customs clearance follow up.
- Working closely with Logistics Finance to support in the reconciliation and processing of invoices
- Tracking and reporting of all Logistics related costs to the Senior Management Team
- Inbound Container Scheduling
- Involvement in ad-hoc business projects requiring input from Logistics Team
- Reporting of warehouse topics when requested
