In Kensington and Chelsea, we put local people at the heart of decision-making, working in partnership with them to provide quality services that are responsive, effective and efficient. As part of our support for more vulnerable residents, we offer a 24/7 emergency alarm service. It helps elderly and disabled people, as well as those with mental health and emotional difficulties, to remain independent and to feel safe and secure in their own homes.

**The Role**:
This is a great opportunity to make a difference in your community. As a Telecare Officer you’ll be out and about installing telecare equipment such as lifeline boxes, smoke and heat alarms, bed/chair sensors, property exit sensors, epilepsy sensors and GPS trackers. From time to time you may also need to carry out any other work relevant to support the CAS officer, and CAS requirements in urgent situations.

However, this is so much more than just a technical role. There will be regular contact with service users and you may need to take follow-up action. This might include liaising with on-call managers, sheltered housing wardens, carers, social services, GPs, emergency services and other organisations. You will also be expected to keep accurate and secure records using office IT.
