We are looking for a team player to play a key role in ensuring the charity has the infrastructure and equipment it needs to support families affected by childhood cancer. The role will sit in the Finance and Operations team with a focus on the facilities element. The role is flexible to a wide range of tasks and specific projects undertaken by the Team for the charity.

**Salary**: £21,000 - 22,000 dependant on experience (FTE - pro-rata for part time hours)

**Hours**: 21 hours per week over a minimum of 3 days

**Holiday**: 27 days holiday per annum + Bank Holidays (pro rata for part time hours)

**Location**: Office based in Leeds, with the option to work from home occasionally

**Principal Responsibilities**

The role is flexible and will adapt to the evolving needs of the charity, but the core responsibilities are:

- To support the Operations and Charity Support Officer in ensuring Candlelighters is a fantastic environment for families and employees. Maintaining all our properties to a very high standard.
- To support with administrative matters, such as ordering office supplies, counting cash, processing donations and sending thank yous to donors.

The specific tasks may include but are not limited to the following:

- Organising necessary repairs and maintenance, complying with necessary upkeep and health and safety requirements.
- Supporting with the coordination of day-to-day facilities to ensure our workplace and public spaces meet the needs of employees and families.
- Supporting with the merchandise process including purchasing, recording sales, and sending out orders.
- Processing and inputting stakeholder information and financial records into databases and the general ledger.
- Helping process cash, cheque and other donations and recording them on our CRM system.

**Required skills**
- Very hands-on person, self-motivated, with a proactive approach to maintenance.
- DIY skills, and facilities and maintenance experience.
- Ability to work independently with good time management, organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Flexible and willing to take on a range of tasks as required by the Charity.
- Approachable and outgoing, and an ability to maintain excellent working relationships with all staff, local and national organisations, volunteers, fundraisers, patients and their families.
