We have an exciting opportunity for a Regulatory Liaison consultant to join our team to support our compliance division.

The Regulatory Liaison team is looking for a proactive individual who is well versed in the regulatory environment and how it impacts San UK. This role requires excellent oral and written communication skills, calmness under pressure, the ability to work as part of a fast-paced team and willingness to take the initiative. Excellent organisation skills are a must.

The role provides exposure to senior management, requires the building of a network across the bank and will give insight into the UK regulatory environment.

**The difference you’ll make.**
- Ensuring an effective Regulatory Liaison team which is well-respected internally and externally and adds material value to San UK’s engagement with regulators.
- Ensuring effective and timely collaboration with regulators on key regulatory requests and initiatives.
- Arranging and managing regulatory meetings and acting as note taker where required and ensuring follow up actions are completed.
- Maintaining an effective and motivated team - measured by examples of team working and mutual support.
- Ensuring all regulatory requests, responses and associated documentation are logged.

**What you’ll bring.**
- Good knowledge and understanding of the regulatory framework for UK financial services, industry trends and best practice.

**It would also be nice for you to have.**
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across the function and relevant business areas.
- Strong interpersonal skills - persuades and influences others to achieve own deliverables.
- Able to plan and organise own time within objectives and to know how work relates to others as well as good oral and written communication skills.
- Good understanding of the financial services industry and the political and economic environment.

**What else you need to know.**
- This is an 12 month Fixed-Term contract opportunity open to a hybrid working arrangement.
