NHS Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board is seeking an Officer to join the children’s team within a Joint Commissioning Team. Reporting to the Head of the Children and Young People’s Transformation Programme you will be working on a range of children’s health issues, including long-term conditions, universal 0-19 services, SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and disabilities and supporting the general work of the children’s team.

Polite, diplomatic and confident, the post holder will forge positive working relationships both inside and outside the organisation in order to deliver the ambitions of the Board and the children’s team.

The post holder will contribute to the planning, coordination and monitoring of the children’s work programmes including escalating risks, issues and concerns as identified by the team, and lead on discrete pieces of work, for example, consultation and co-production with children and young people, communications, promotions and data analysis. Additionally, you will provide administrative support to the team, managing meetings and papers, minute-taking, chasing actions and updates, performance monitoring and reporting, and submitting returns.

We are seeking someone who is used to working calmly in a busy environment and who is dependable and adaptable.
- To take a population health approach to children’s work, liaising with colleagues in education, housing, environment, business, leisure, etc.
- To support the development of transformation and delivery plans for children and young people, focusing on physical health and SEND agendas
- To support the coordination of the children’s work programmes which includes day-to-day project management duties
- To work closely with clinical and non-clinical staff
- To collect, collate, analyse and present detailed information relating to children and young people
- To assist in the communication of information to a diverse audience including clinicians, health and social care professionals, managers, patients and public, ensuring presentation of information is adapted to audience needs
- To lead on discrete pieces of work, for example, consultation and engagement with children and young people, parents, families and communities
- To provide reports, written and verbal, to relevant groups, and to maintain and respond to various reporting processes to ensure all requested submissions and deadlines are met.
- To provide an administrative function to support meetings, agreeing agendas with Chairs, ensuring papers are received in a timely way for appropriate circulation taking minutes, sending out papers, maintaining action logs, chasing colleagues for updates and reports
- The post holder is an ambassador for the ICB/ICS so must be able to be professional at all timesCoventry & Warwickshire ICB is a new organisation, formed on 1 July 2023.

Ensuring that we have the right mix of skilled staff in all parts of our system will support the improvement of children's health outcomes and reduce inequalities across Coventry and Warwickshire.

Knowledge, Training and Experience
- Educated to Degree level (or equivalent level of knowledge and experience)
- Evidence of continuing professional development and training
- Experience of transformation work, commissioning work and partnership working, and knowledge of the role of the ICB, Providers, primary care, Public Health, Primary Care Networks, NHS England/Improvement
- Experience of working with stakeholders with a range of professional backgrounds
- Knowledge of health care services, healthcare landscape and delivery, including the role of the ICB, Providers, primary care, Public Health, NHS England/Improvement
- Knowledge or experience of children’s work and/or agenda, ideally in health, education or social care
- Knowledge of the policy environment in which health economies work and the principles of change management
- Knowledge of different consultation and engagement methodologies and experience of consulting with individuals, families or communities
