Key Activities:

_The main activities / action needed to carry out the job)_
- Training - educating and coaching lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, 5S, TPM, SMED etcto relevant colleagues across all levels.
- Value Stream Analysis - facilitating effective cross functional teams to create ‘Current State Maps’ and develop ‘Future State Maps’ to minimise ‘Waste’ across the whole site.
- Problem Solving - supporting colleagues at all levels to ensure that they are competent in appropriate problem solving tools to ensure that we solve the problem to root cause to avoid repetition.
- Sustainment of Initiatives - introduce a robust process to evaluate if progress is on track is critical to underpin the delivery of the ‘Visual Factory’.
- Sharing Best Practice - sharing best practice initiatives across the site/division.
- Standardisation - ensure that all lean tools deployed are standardised across the site and where applicable are in line with divisional standards.
- Continuous Improvement - supporting functional heads in ‘normal’ continuous improvement activity.

Key Result Areas:

- QHSE - Safety & Quality Standards (eg - improving Housekeeping Levels / Audit Ready Standards / Eliminating Persistent Quality Issues etc )
- Cost - OEE, Labour Variances, Waste Variances & Overhead Control etc
- Delivery - Effective Execution of Lean Programme (Timely, On Budget etc )
- People - Lean Competence, Development of SME’s, Colleague Engagement in Lean Activities etc...
- Making Life Easier - the strapline for our Lean Programme is ‘To Make Life Easier For Everyone’ so this needs to be at the forefront of all of our lean activities

- Resilient and self motivated team player.
- Excellent communicator with good negotiating skills.
- Effective leader who can influence internal/external stakeholders.
- Recognising great work and challenging when initiatives are not on track.

Technical Competencies & Qualifications:

- (Experience and skills needed to do the job)_
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a Continuous Improvement role in a FMCG, multi shift production environment.
- Excellent understanding of Continuous Improvement/Lean - eg - Problem Solving, 5S, SMED, TPM etc
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet short and long term deadlines.
