We are looking for 2 x Student Peer Support Leaders.

**The Opportunity**:
To provide administrative support for day-to-day running of the BizPALS schemes including coordination of peer support volunteers, liaising with peer leaders, collating attendance data and acting as ambassadors of peer support within the Business School.

To be actively involved in peer support project initiation, reviews, recruitment, promotion, session planning, debriefs, professional development days and quality assurance measures in the business school.

Forge connections with other stakeholders in peer support, including business school student societies and staff with a view to enhancing the undergraduate learning community.

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- **Education, Qualifications & Training**:
Vocational qualifications (N/SVQ 2/3, ONC or equivalent) plus typically 1 year’s relevant work experience **_Or _**School education to Standard Grade or equivalent plus typically 2 years’ relevant work experience (Desirable).
- **Knowledge & Experience**:

- Very good written and oral communication skills.
- Working knowledge of relevant systems, equipment, processes and procedures including standard software packages and possibly non-standard software.
- An understanding of the diverse profile of students within the School.
- A clear understanding of confidentiality and an ability to deal appropriately with sensitive information.
- A well-developed, autonomous learning style.
- Ability to prioritise and initiate a work plan, meet deadlines and work, at times, unsupervised.
- Initiative and judgment to resolve day-to-day problems independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive and enthusiastic approach.
- Highly-motivated with the ability to inspire and encourage others about new ideas and initiatives.
- Suitable personal qualities for support work, including: a non-judgemental attitude, approachability and an interest in supporting students.
- A willingness to learn new skills as required and undertake appropriate training.
- A comprehensive knowledge of the School.
- Experience of peer support.
- Working knowledge of information-gathering tools such as online surveys
