**Life on the team**

The Group Material Master team is responsible for accurately creating and maintaining all Computacenter SAP materials for Computacenter’s UK and European Technology Sourcing business. The Group team consists of country teams based in the UK, Germany and Hungary, each reporting to a country Team Leader. This role leads the UK Material Master team which consists of nine Master Data Specialists, and reports to the Group Manager for Material Master.

This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced people manager to lead an competent and receptive team. You will be collaborating with multiple teams within Computacenter, and your team will play a key role in the successful operations of Computacenter. You will be able to make key decisions that drive the success of your team.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Effectively manage the team on a day to day basis to prioritise and meet changing workload requirements and deliver service to published SLAs and KPIs.
- Take accountability for the service delivery performance and all people management duties for the team, including recruitment.
- Be an escalation point for internal customers and other GTS teams for all operational activity delivered by the Team.
- Ensure that all processes are documented, and the team knowledge base is maintained to support team delivery of all standard and non-standard activity.
- Collaborate with other Team Leaders, Group Manager and PIM colleagues to identify and implement improvements and alignment to data models, processes, ways of working across the g.roup team.
- Operate and collaborate confidently with managers of internal customers and other GTS teams, ensuring that MM dependencies on their teams are clearly understood and met.

**What you’ll bring**
- Strong people management skills and are able to lead, inspire and coach team members to support their personal development, creating an environment where people want to be the best they can be.
- Understanding and/or previous experience of data management; experience of using SAP ERP is a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrable experience of effectively managing a team to deal with fluctuating and sometimes high levels of workload.
- A measured approach and be able to deal with high pressure situations in a calm and objective manner.
- Data-driven approach to problem solving.
- Comfortable taking ownership and accountability for decisions on behalf of team.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, in particular MS Excel.
- Experience of the IT industry and/or technical knowledge of IT hardware, software and services would be advantageous.
