Lead Material Planner

The Lead Material Planner will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of goods to Alstom's projects. This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement action plans to improve supplier performance and manage risks.
- Collaborate with the Procurement team to ensure contractual agreements are reflected in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Communicate delivery needs to suppliers using dedicated tools and follow up on deliveries to ensure goods are available for Alstom projects.
- Monitor supplier performance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and participate in supplier performance improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the selection of suppliers and ensure that material planning and ERP settings align with project objectives.
- Manage Purchase Requisitions for internal suppliers and work with Procurement to launch Material Planning documents for external suppliers.
- Ensure the accuracy of material planning master data and create Material Planning documents, including Call-off and Schedule Agreements.
- Communicate Material Planning documents to suppliers and follow up on confirmations.
- Analyze supplier confirmations against Alstom's needs and evaluate the risk and impact of potential supply problems.
- Identify priorities and set up recovery actions to mitigate supply risks.
- Organize regular reviews with suppliers to check the status of deliveries and their performance.
- Analyze and manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) exception messages and anticipate supply problems.
- Track missing parts until stock availability and ensure non-conformities are replaced through the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process.
- Resolve Goods Receipts issues using the appropriate communication channels.
- Analyze and share delivery performance KPIs with internal and external stakeholders.

- Experience in continuous improvement.
- Work experience in an Engineering company is highly desirable.
- A degree in Business Administration or Engineering or Supply Chain or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Experience of working with all stakeholders, including suppliers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
